Part of the problem with community Blogging is still finding time to make posts on your own blog while you’re galivanting around, surfing here and there, commenting on and reading other people’s blogs that make you green with envy.
Promotion none the less is essential and however humble your blog, technorati is a major player in the blog promotion stakes. I just realized that I haven’t claimed this blog yet there. Duh! To claim it I have to publish this code Technorati Profile on my blog .
There is so much to learn when you start out. You sign up for this and that, you havn’t got a clue what you are doing but this books says do this and that book says do that and so you do it. It helps to read other people’s blogs, they often talk about their own journey from glaringly obvious newbie to halfway competent novice (my stage) to journeyman able to manipulate and feel competent about most tasks to the ultimate – Pro Blogger with thousands of a readers a day.
So when you are feeling overwhelmed by it all, don’t stress. Sometimes following instructions, even when you don’t know what will happen next, is all you need to do. So my instruction for today is go sign up at Technorati and claim your blog. Then go explore the site because there are fantastic blogs that will inspire you to be creative, tutorial blogs to show you how to do it and widgets galore that you can add to your blog and have some fun with.
Bloggers love to share because they care. Make it easy for people to fav you on Technorati and start tagging your own favourites. My reminder came from the group at Blog Catalog created by Blogsha , have you joined this community yet? They have fantastic bloggers who will help you get traffic. They are warm and friendly and helpful. Click on the Blog Catalog sidebar link to join the community.
