The use of RSS feeds can involve some complicated here and there with installing a feed plugin and configuring a sidebar, or it can take up space in the sidebar and be coded in there with a widget that will display the feed. There are some fantastic different ways to do it and the benefits are that as the titles change when the feed is updated, so your blog is perceived to have new content which means that even if you are not such an active blogger, your blog does not suffer so much from this lack of activity.
It can be difficult to find, or I should say be certain, that the feed you choose for your site is ok to be added and used, many blogs don’t give a firm policy about it and many feeds have certain restrictions for example that they may not be used for commercial blogs.
The following site wants you to use their feeds. They will in fact pay you to use them. It won’t make you a fortune but every little counts as they say. The embed function is easy to use and you can embed (in the code area) within a post or as a text widget. You can see what it will look like below. There is a huge range of feeds available for multiple niches. Click on the embed icon below to use this feed article or find the site name to go to sign up and discover niche specific feeds that you’d prefer to use.
When I entered this feed it had an article about a homeless farmer saying that this was the best zongzi he’d ever tasted. It referred to the food that was being distributed to people made homeless by the disastrous quake in China. I loved this article, I don’t know what zongzi is, but I do know that many of people hit by the quake in China are people who will lose their land forever and be homeless, who will have lost many relatives including perhaps their only child, so it’s nice to read an article that has a small happiness to report from this major tragedy.
Because this is a feed and news changes, I don’t know what article you will see when you look below, but that’s the point isn’t it? To have different content on your blog, timely and relevant new content. Now there’s not a lot of news regarding blogging so I can’t place a relevant feed on this blog, but if you have a good niche, there are many topical feeds to choose from which will have content that is highly relevant to your site. So this is a great way to add new content, add a few dollars to your income and keep your blog fresh with news that is up to the minute when people view it.
