Blogging is mainstream now. Used to be that a site - that is a normal website - was the status quo. Your company used one, your home business needed one, you wanted one, writers had to have one. A website was their way to have a presence on the Internet.
So much improvement has been made in blog software and content management systems that these web solutions are now far more popular than a traditional programmer designed website. Mainly because a normal person can add content so easily to them without having to do so through a webmaster, programmer or designer.
Even so, simply adding content is only a small part of the process. People also want to know how to publish advertising and promote products. They want to know what their options are regarding different types of blog and CMS platforms. They want to make a living (or at least pay their costs) blogging.
Blog writing is a new medium that since the turn of the century has changing the way people think about writing. A normal everyday online writer is no longer a professional journalist or a fiction writer in any traditional sense of the word. Journalism now better describes most personal blog writers, especially when contrasted to the paparazzi news writer it usually refers to now.
A blogs structure is so akin to journal writing. A daily exercise, a memento, a letter, a sharing of something, blog writing is all of these precious things and many other things to different people. It reaches out into the world so that nations can talk to each other.
So once people have a few posts up, they want to broadcast that Hello World message and get some readers. Whether the post is poetry, essay, article, tip, tutorial, art, news, video or advertisement - each one needs a reader. Coming from many different backgrounds, bringing very different levels of competency and with multiple different reasons for wanting and using a blog, all these people need some guidance.
And that’s what Rich Niche Blogging is all about!
